Ahead of the summer season, Ving is launching a new feature in the form of direct charter flights to Cyprus from Umeå Airport.
Starting April 28, 2023, tour operator Ving, in collaboration with airline Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA), will offer departures every Friday during the early and late summer to the popular holiday island of Cyprus from Umeå Airport. The launch is a welcome addition to the airport's existing charter offering.
– We are very pleased to be able to complement Umeå Airport's offering with another charter destination. The recovery from the pandemic continues, which is of course very pleasing. There is a pent-up need to travel again and we see strong demand from our travelers for trips to the heat this summer, says Bengt-Ove Lindgren, Airport Manager, Umeå Airport.
– It feels fantastic that we can offer exciting news from Umeå Airport in the form of Cyprus, which we know is a much-anticipated travel destination. The desire to travel both in the near future and in the future is great and we are currently seeing a good push in bookings from Umeå, says Claes Pellvik, Head of Communications at Ving.
The premiere flight from Umeå Airport to Cyprus departs on April 28 and then departures are offered until June 23. After a break in July, Ving resumes traffic on August 4 and flies until September 29.
During the current winter, Ving is offering direct flights with Jettime to Gran Canaria from Umeå Airport once a week until April 7. The upcoming winter season is also available for sale along with summer trips to Cyprus.
