A man broke into a hotel room in central Gothenburg on Sunday morning, reports GP.
The man allegedly lied and said he worked as a cleaner at the hotel. He allegedly stole a laptop, tablet, cell phone, gold chain and credit card from a tourist, among other things.
The thief later used the stolen credit card, which could then be tracked via the tourist's smartwatch. Police were later able to arrest the man in a store on Hisingen.
– We had good evidence because we were able to track the transactions, says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesperson for the police region West.
