The Swedish Competition Authority is investigating whether companies have settled on how Covid tests at Arlanda outside Stockholm should be priced.
On Tuesday last week, a dawn raid was carried out on two companies in Stockholm. The companies had provided PCR tests at Arlanda, writes Expressen.
”"At the same time, you visit the companies that you suspect have collaborated, so they don't warn each other," Hanna Lekås, head of unit at the Swedish Competition Authority, tells the newspaper.
The authority suspects that the companies settled on the price level during the late summer and does not rule out that the agreement is still valid.
The Swedish Competition Authority is not investigating whether the price of the tests has been high in relation to other companies, but rather whether there has been any coordination between the two testing companies.
The CEO of one of the companies confirms that an investigation is underway, but denies the suspicions of price fixing. TT
