While several airlines warn of more expensive tickets due to increased fuel costs, Apollo assures that the prices of their charter flights will not change.

The prices of Apollo's charter trips are not affected by short-term market fluctuations, as flights and hotels are purchased well in advance of departure.

“They are therefore not directly affected by short-term variations in fuel costs. Prices are dynamic and are mainly driven by supply and demand,” says Martina Krantz, press officer at Apollo. 

Predictability more important than ever 

Apollo has seen a significant increase in the number of new customers since the pandemic. A new survey from the tour operator provides an explanation: half of all Swedes see their holiday abroad as the highlight of the year – and security and predictability are among the most important factors when booking.

These factors become especially important in uncertain times like now, with rising fuel costs and geopolitical tensions. With a charter trip, however, the total price for flights and hotels is known in advance. According to the Package Travel Act, the organizer is also obliged to take responsibility if something unforeseen should occur, such as cancellations or delays.

– In our survey, a full 68 % responded that they would have nothing to look forward to if they missed this year's trip abroad. When the holiday means so much, the need for security becomes even clearer, especially in troubled times. And nothing is safer than a charter trip, says Krantz. 

– We know that many people want to secure their summer vacation early, but at the same time have flexibility. With expanded open purchasing, we make it easy to book now and change plans later – at no extra cost, says Krantz.
