Flexjet, which offers private flights via subscription, will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange through the space company Horizon. The transaction gives Flexjet a company value of $3.1 billion, equivalent to 35 billion kronor, writes Dow Jones.
”Access to capital and currency will help us capture market share at a faster pace in an opportunistic environment,” Flexjet Chairman Ken Ricci said in a statement.
The SPAC company Horizon is led by Todd Boehly, known in Europe primarily as the new owner of the Chelsea football club. A SPAC company consists of a fund with the purpose of acquiring a company.
”"We believe this transaction provides ample capital for Flexjet to execute on its long-term vision," Todd Boehly said in a statement.
