Qatar Airways is forecasting ”robust” demand for travel for the rest of 2023 and will add additional routes depending on how quickly the planes already ordered can be delivered. It reports Bloomberg. 

It was in connection with an event in Dubai on Monday that Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker, according to Bloomberg, said that the company has seen a sharp increase in demand for travel after restrictions were eased around the world, but that it is being hampered by a lack of new planes. 

”"We have delays from Boeing with the 787 and 777X. All of this is ongoing and we expect a large number of 787s to be delivered to us this year. We can add 85-90 destinations depending on the aircraft deliveries," Akbar Al Baker said, according to Bloomberg. 

Qatar Airways currently flies to over 160 destinations around the world.
