Qatar regrets gynecological examinations at airports

Qatar is now apologizing to women who were forced to undergo gynecological examinations at a Doha airport, reports say. BBC.

Women on ten planes were given gynecological exams after a baby was found abandoned in a seat bag, hidden under debris at Doha airport. In the search for the mother, the women were forced to undergo an examination to find out if they had given birth.

"The aim of the swift decision to launch the search was to prevent the perpetrators of this horrific crime from escaping. Qatar regrets any inconvenience or inconvenience this may have caused to travelers," the Qatari government told the BBC.
