A couple from New Zealand recently received over 15,000 Swedish kronor in compensation from Singapore Airlines.
The reason? A farting dog.
Gill and Warren Press had paid extra to sit in premium seats during the 13-hour flight from Paris to Singapore.
There they ended up next to a man with a service dog – who, according to the couple, was both drooling and snorting.
And it got worse when it started to fart.
The couple demanded to change seats, and were allowed to take the two available seats – further back in economy class.
For months, the couple has been demanding compensation for not being able to use their expensive airline seats. Finally, the airline relented and paid out the sum of just over $1,400.
The couple says to Insider that they donated the money to an organization for guide dogs in New Zealand.
