Record year for the Öresund Bridge – leisure-loving Danes head to Sweden

The past year has been a record year for the Öresund Bridge.

More leisure-loving Danes drove over to Sweden – and the proportion of fossil-free vehicles increased significantly. In addition, the number of bridge crossings was up to just over 900,000 in July – the highest monthly figure in the bridge's history, according to Öresunds. the bridge in a press release. 

Danish leisure traffic was 23 percent higher compared to last year, and the proportion of passing vehicles running on electricity or hydrogen increased by 55 percent during the year.

Freight traffic in the form of the proportion of trucks, however, is declining and decreased by two percent last year.
