Red storm warning in Spain

Spain's meteorological institute has issued weather warnings in nine regions due to storm Francis moving in this afternoon, writes El País. Heavy and persistent rain is expected with a risk of flooding. 

According to the newspaper, an orange warning has been issued in Alicante and a red warning in Málaga. In the other regions, the weather warning for the storm is yellow.
