The tour boat M/S Ådalen III has run aground in Norafjärden outside Kramfors, which P4 Västernorrland Be the first to report.
144 passengers are on board. The boat is taking on water but no one is reported to be injured.
A major operation was launched with a helicopter, rescue services, two boats from the Coast Guard, and another ferry.
“We have alerted everything that flies and floats in the area,” says Anders Lännholm at the Maritime and Air Rescue Center.
After a while, the pumps were started. By 9:30 p.m., the water level in the boat had dropped.
“The plan is for it to make its way to Gustavsvik under its own power,” says Sebastian Wigmo at the Maritime and Air Rescue Center.
There are resources ready to receive the passengers and crew.
