For anyone who has seen the science fiction series "Westworld," the scenario is perhaps familiar and possibly a little scary: an entire park filled with humanoid robots.
Now fiction can become reality. Disney plans to have robots take on the roles of Mickey Mouse, Goofy and other well-known characters in its theme parks in the future, writes Huffpost.
The robots, which are now under development, will be equipped with cameras and sensors so that they can move freely in the area and be programmed to be able to make "spontaneous" choices about what to do and say in different situations.
But not everyone is as enthusiastic about the plans. In the comment sections on social media, several people write that there is a whole series about why it is a really bad idea. In "Westworld" the robots become so smart that they rebel. (TT)
