Royal Caribbean marks the start of a new chapter by beginning construction of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island – an area of almost 70,000 square meters located on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. “The project not only strengthens Nassau as a destination, it also symbolizes what partnership and innovation can achieve,” says Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean International.Royal Caribbean and the government and people of the Bahamas have jointly broken ground on the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau. The public-private partnership also allows residents to own up to 49 percent of the shares. The groundbreaking was celebrated on site by Michael Bayley and Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, along with Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis and Deputy Prime Minister I. Chester Cooper.Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, which will open in 2025, will be the first resort in the Royal Beach Club collection and will gradually take shape over the coming months.
The destination will be characterized by the Bahamian environment and atmosphere, but with elements of Royal Caribbean design and service. Visitors can expect amenities such as:
Charming, local architecture created by a Bahamian architectural firm.
Three pools with swim-up bars.
Private cabanas.
Restaurants for all tastes.
Activities related to local culture.

Local businesses and entrepreneurs will play a vital role in both the construction and operation of the resort, which will create hundreds of jobs in both the short and long term. Through workshops, residents have contributed to the design of local cuisine, music, entertainment and activities that reflect Bahamian culture, which will form a central part of the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island experience.
