The desire to go on a train holiday in Europe continues to increase sharply among Swedes.
Sales of Interrail passes at one of the largest Swedish operators have increased by 100 percent during the first five months of the year compared to the same period last year, reports SVT. According to the company Silverrail, which distributes the service to Swedish retailers, 17,000 Interrail passes were sold to Swedish retailers in 2018. This year, after just five months, they have reached the same levels.
”"It's a 100 percent increase, and that's remarkable. Whether you sell soda, travel, or whatever, an increase of, for example, 10 percent is fantastic. This is something else," says Jonas Falk, head of international travel at Silverrail, to SVT.
