The British advertising watchdog has banned a television campaign from the airline Ryanair because it is considered to encourage the population to take risks during pandemic times.
This is reported by The Guardian.
The advert – which shows people without face masks during summer holidays – has received over 2,000 complaints, the third most complaints of all time in the UK.
Ryanair is promoting a campaign with low-cost tickets to European sun destinations such as Spain and Greece with the reference that you can get your injection before the summer and go (”jab and go”). The advertisement shows a small bottle with the word vaccine on it combined with a syringe.
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary recently said that the vaccine program will allow British families to flock to Europe this coming summer.
