Ryanair continues to invest heavily in the Swedish market and develop traffic at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Now two more routes and a new aircraft are being added, while existing routes are getting extended schedules for the summer season. With these, eight new routes have started since October 2022 and in total Ryanair will now operate 45 routes and 320 flights per week to and from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

With the new venture, Ryanair will have a total of five aircraft based at Arlanda. Of the eight new routes in 2022–2023, Birmingham, Malta, Pisa, Turin, Tuzla and Valencia are already in service, while two new routes will make their debut in the spring and summer:
- Arlanda – Dublin starts on March 26
- Arlanda – Porto starts on June 4th.
– Ryanair is pleased to announce our new Stockholm Arlanda timetable for summer 2023 with eight new routes, giving Stockholm travellers even more options for their summer holiday at competitive prices. The summer schedule for 2023 is record-breaking and means a new aircraft will be added to the Arlanda base, with a total of 150 active pilots and cabin crew and increased availability to and from the Stockholm region, says Annika Ledeboer, Country Manager for the Nordics, Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Ryanair.
Ten of the airline’s existing routes will also be operated with increased frequency during the summer period. These intensified routes include destinations Krakow, Milan, Thessaloniki, Vienna as well as domestic destinations. Ryanair’s summer 2023 programme represents a 6 percent increase compared to summer 2022.
The investment in a new aircraft means an additional 30 jobs for pilots and cabin crew at the base at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. In addition to the 45 flights that will operate at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Ryanair has 22 flights in service at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, two at Malmö Airport, one at Luleå Airport and one at Visby Airport, a total of 71 flights via Swedavia's airports.
