Ryanair is investing in ten new flight routes from Sweden after the announcement of the abolition of the flight tax. However, the airline is rejecting Bromma, even though Bra has now left the airport. The runway is too short, says CEO Eddie Wilson.

The government's announcement that the flight tax will be abolished opens up new opportunities in Sweden, according to Eddie Wilson. That's why Ryanair is now launching ten new routes – five from Arlanda and five from Landvetter – and is also basing two additional aircraft in Sweden.

According to CEO Eddie Wilson, the initiative comes after the government's announcement that the aviation tax will be abolished.

"It's a brave decision that should attract airlines other than Ryanair," he says at a press conference.

However, starting to fly from Bromma after Bra leaves the airport is not an option.

"The runway is too short. Bromma is traditionally intended for smaller aircraft. But if the runway were longer, we would obviously look at it," says Eddie Wilson.
