Ryanair announces that the airline's capacity this winter will be reduced to 40 percent of last year's levels due to increased corona restrictions in Europe.
The extended restrictions have caused forward bookings to decrease slightly in October but significantly for November and December, according to Ryanair.
Previously, capacity had been reduced to 60 percent of last year's levels.
Ryanair expects to maintain 65 percent of its routes this winter, but reduce flight frequency.
The airline also estimates that the number of passengers for the full year will decrease to 38 million, but that this figure could drop if there are new shutdowns due to the pandemic.
