A Dublin court has ordered a man to pay €15,000 in damages after his violent behaviour on board a Ryanair flight from Dublin to Lanzarote forced the plane to make a stopover in Porto, affecting more than 160 passengers and six crew.
Ryanair says the ruling sends a clear message that disruptive behaviour has consequences and emphasises that the airline has a zero tolerance policy towards on-board disturbances, with the aim of ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for the majority of passengers.
