Sälenfjällen may remain closed over Christmas and New Year if the Public Health Agency's stricter corona restrictions apply throughout the year.
This was stated by Destination Sälenfjällen CEO Anders Bjernulf to SVT.
He believes and hopes that the new restrictions, which the government "took on with a sledgehammer" and introduced on Monday, can have an effect and reduce the spread, and believes that the new restrictions are a way to prepare so that it will be possible to have a good Christmas and New Year in Sälen.
Destination Sälenfjällen is a joint company for the development of the tourism industry in Sälenfjällen. A total of 140 companies are part of the organization, including Skistar.
In Dalarna, the development is worrying, said infectious disease doctor Anders Lindblom in an interview with Di on November 9. He does not rule out that Skistar will be advised to close facilities.
