We are incredibly pleased to have succeeded in recruiting such a knowledgeable and committed person as Sam Holmberg to Winn Hotel Group's new management, says Anders Junger, CEO of Winn Hotel Group.

An experienced hotelier has been hired.

Sam Holmberg has extensive hotel experience, both nationally and internationally. After having his first summer job as a 15-year-old at the reception desk at a hotel in his home country of Finland, it has become a career with leading positions within, among others, Rezidor Hotel Group, Scandic and Sokos Hotels.

He most recently came from a position as District Director for Rezidor Hotel Group and CEO of Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Stockholm.

– I have long had my eye on Winn Hotel Group and the corporate culture they have built. When I received the offer, it felt like a fantastic opportunity to continue working with both hotel operations and the development of products and people, which is precisely what is my great passion, comments Sam Holmberg.

Winn Hotel Group has grown over the past five years and has doubled in size as a group. Today, it has 13 hotels in 12 locations. In addition, it has three strategic property holdings. Turnover amounts to more than SEK 750 million and nearly 900 employees contribute to the hotels' high standard.

And the development continues.

Winn Hotel Group wants to see further expansion in parallel with the development of the existing hotels. By introducing a new position as Chief Operating Officer (COO), better support will be created for the thirteen hotels.

Anders Junger explains:

– In recent years, we have grown with new hotels, restaurants and properties and we have continued plans for growth. In parallel with this, our focus remains on developing the existing portfolio and increasing its profitability. We see in Sam a person with the ability to inspire enthusiasm and get his employees to dare to challenge both themselves and others.

Junger believes that the COO will be a key function in the group's effort to continue making wise, effective and quick decisions even during growth.

– Sam's way of looking at the individual and his desire to develop other people with joy and commitment go hand in hand with how Winn works. Since we, as a multi-brand player, work very closely with our partners, such as Rezidor Hotel Group and Nordic Choice Hotels, Sam Holmberg has long been both a well-known and appreciated name for us, says Anders Junger.

Sam Holmberg will take up the position in May.
