SAS has reached a new agreement with the Norwegian unions Fellesforbundet and Parat on a new collective agreement for cabin crew. This means that the announced labor dispute will not be implemented.
The agreement comes after new talks with the support of the Norwegian Riksmekleren. A previously negotiated agreement had been voted down by union members in a vote, leading to continued negotiations between the parties.
SAS states that the parties have worked intensively in recent days to find a solution that creates greater stability and predictability in the future.
– The most important thing now is that the parties have reached an agreement and that the notified labor dispute has been averted. Throughout the process, our highest priority has been to reduce uncertainty for our customers and ensure that they can travel as planned, says Pernille Ormholt Vang, Executive Vice President Chief People Officer at SAS.
Travelers are not affected by the conflict
The announcement means that SAS can avoid disruptions due to the planned conflict during an intense travel period.
At the same time, the airline emphasizes that work to strengthen competitiveness continues.

SAS states that the company can now fully focus on customers and the ongoing high season, without the announced labor dispute affecting passengers' travels.
