SAS has once again been named Europe's most punctual airline according to a report by research firm Cirium. On-Time Performance for July 2026. The airline achieved a punctuality of 84.32 percent, measured as the proportion of flights arriving within 15 minutes of schedule.
The award comes during the height of summer – one of the most intense and operationally demanding periods of the year for the aviation industry – and underlines SAS's continued focus on stable and reliable operations.
– July tests every part of an airline's operations, with high passenger volumes, crowded airports and very little margin for disruption. Being named Europe's most punctual airline during this period is something we are very proud of. It is a result of the commitment and teamwork that thousands of employees show every day, says SAS President and CEO Anko van der Werff.
The result follows strong operational performance during the year. Earlier in 2026, SAS was also named the world's most punctual airline in both March and April.
Over the past two years, SAS has topped Cirium's punctuality ranking seven times in Europe and four times globally, which, according to the company, demonstrates long-term high operational reliability.
Cirium's On-Time Performance ranking is one of the airline industry's most established measurements of punctuality and is based on the proportion of flights that arrive no more than 15 minutes after their scheduled arrival time.
