SAS CEO Anko van der Werff will leave the company at the beginning of 2027, for a similar position at Air Canada.
Anko van der Werff will remain in her current role until early 2027 and the company announces that it will begin the search for a replacement immediately.
The Dutchman has been CEO of the company since March 2021.

”"Anko has played a central role in building a stronger and more competitive SAS with a clearer direction and important opportunities ahead. We respect his decision, while of course regretting his departure," says SAS Chairman of the Board Kåre Schultz.
Anko van der Werff was already rumored last week be a candidate for the CEO position of Air Canada, after the company's former CEO Michael Rousseau left the position following criticism that he did not speak French in a corporate video.
In addition to her position as CEO of SAS, Anko van der Werff has been a board member of the white goods giant Electrolux since March.
Before her time at SAS, Anko van der Werff worked as CEO of the South American airline Avianca.
SAS recently added a record order on 39 long-haul planes from Airbus, in what the CEO described as "the largest investment the company has ever made.".
