SAS CFO Magnus Örnberg will leave the airline this spring.

Magnus Örnberg will remain in his current role to ensure a smooth transition. SAS SAS -2,38% has begun an urgent recruitment of his successor, according to a press release.

”"I regret that Magnus is choosing to leave but wish him the best of luck in his future challenges," says SAS CEO Anko van der Werff.

Magnus Örnberg took on the role of CFO of SAS in the fall of 2020, most recently coming from the same position in the defense group Saab.

”"This has been one of the most fun and interesting jobs I've ever had, and I'm grateful to have been part of this important and exciting business. It hasn't been an easy decision to leave such a stimulating environment, and an absolutely fantastic team," says Magnus Örnberg.
