SAS has chosen Tre as its new corporate partner, further strengthening Tre's position and leadership in communications and connectivity in Scandinavia. The new commercial partnership also means that Tre customers and EuroBonus members will have the opportunity to freely use high-speed WiFi on board SAS aircraft, as the first concrete delivery.
Furthermore, Tre will be responsible for SAS's connectivity worldwide. By leveraging Tre's technological capabilities, SAS will gain access to seamless and reliable communication services for its global operations. The partnership is an important step for Tre and a milestone in its long-term ambition to capture market share on the corporate side.
– We are pleased about the partnership with SAS, which positions Tre as a leading provider of large-scale connectivity solutions for businesses and lays a solid foundation for continued growth in the enterprise segment, says Haval van Drumpt, CEO of Tre Sweden.
A central part of the collaboration is 3Koppla, a complete, digital communications platform that enables SAS to gather all its communication tools in one and the same cloud service. 3Koppla is a new comprehensive solution that combines usability, flexibility and the very latest technology, which was crucial for Tre to win the contract with SAS.
The agreement covers over 14,000 subscriptions for SAS employees, for both voice and data services. The number of subscriptions demonstrates the size of the partnership and Tre's ability to offer robust connectivity solutions to large companies.
The partnership covers the entire Scandinavian area with operations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Tre's regional presence is crucial to supporting SAS's extensive business activities in Scandinavia.
Another part of the partnership is the integration of SAS's loyalty program EuroBonus. By connecting Tre's offerings with EuroBonus, new opportunities for loyalty building and customer acquisition are created.
Tre customers already call, text and surf at the same price as at home in 80 countries and regions. From the end of March 2026, Tre will expand this offer to 100 countries and regions. As a Tre customer or EuroBonus member, you will now also be able to use high-speed WiFi on board SAS planes that have the service installed (rollout ongoing in 2026). No matter where in the world you travel with SAS, the connection will follow you – from boarding at the gate to landing, without interruption. The connection will feel just like at home – even at an altitude of 10,000 meters.
The connection is enabled by Starlink's advanced satellite technology, which ensures fast and reliable internet connection.
– SAS strives to make travel seamless from boarding to arrival, and our partnership with Tre is an important step towards that goal. By combining Tre’s strong mobile connectivity with our Starlink-powered high-speed WiFi, we can offer EuroBonus members and Tre’s customers fast and stable internet in all cabins. The collaboration strengthens the foundation for a global connectivity solution that benefits both our business and our customers. Together, we create scalable connectivity and new opportunities to connect the travel experience on the ground, in the air and all over the world, says Anko van der Werff, CEO and President, SAS.
