The airline SAS is investing in Copenhagen with 15 new routes starting in the summer of 2025. This is part of consolidating the Danish airport as Northern Europe's leading hub for international air traffic, according to a press release.

In addition to a direct route to Seattle on the American west coast, there are destinations in Europe: Krakow, Madrid, Budapest, Lyon, Valencia, Malta, Bucharest, Milan, Seville, Turku, Billund, Kristiansand, Harstad/Narvik and Bodø.

SAS has recently undergone a reconstruction and gained new owners.

CEO Anko van der Werff says in a comment that SAS is now a "competitive and financially strong airline" where the investment in Copenhagen will "drive economic growth" throughout Scandinavia.

On Tuesday, SAS announced that it had entered into a collaboration with the Swedish airline BRA to expand traffic within Sweden. The announcement means that BRA will abandon Bromma Airport for Arlanda.
