SAS's results for the period November 2022 to May 2023 were a loss of 4.9 billion SEK, equivalent to minus 455 million dollars.
This is evident from new information published by the airline in connection with the start of submitting monthly financial reports to an American court.
The message is given in a press release on Monday morning.
On June 1, SAS released its half-yearly report, according to which the result for the period from November 2022 to April 2023 was minus SEK 4.2 billion (-4.0).
Monday's announcement therefore means that the loss in May was approximately SEK 0.7 billion.
The monthly reports that have been submitted to the court since last fall are a result of SAS's ongoing reconstruction, a so-called Chapter 11 process.
Revenues during November–May amounted to SEK 20.7 billion ($1.9 billion), compared to SEK 16.9 billion for November–April (12.6).
Liquid funds were SEK 6.7 billion at the end of May, up from SEK 5.6 billion a month earlier.
The loss in May is a "serious blow to the stomach" according to SAS analyst Jacob Pedersen at Sydbank.
