SAS will leave the Star Alliance airline alliance on September 1st of this year. Instead, it will join Skyteam.

It has previously been reported that the transition could be a change for SAS customers in the longer term, especially when it comes to pricing for points travel.

Now the airline is announcing that Eurobonus will remain SAS's loyalty program and that the current rules and regulations for traveling will remain "largely the same."”

”"Your membership, including your level in the program and points earned, will not be affected," SAS writes in a press release.

Starting September 1, Eurobonus customers will receive ”similar benefits” with most Skyteam airlines.
