Ahead of summer 2018, SAS is launching another direct route to Greece, now to the island of Rhodes..
Departures from Stockholm Arlanda Airport take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the summer.
SAS will fly to and from Rhodes on Wednesdays and Saturdays between June 23 and August 4. Today, SAS flies directly from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania on Crete and Mykonos.
With beautiful beaches, hiking trails and the city of Rhodes with its medieval city center, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the island has something for everyone.
– It is gratifying that SAS is making it easier for Swedish holidaymakers to get to the Greek archipelago this summer. We are seeing a significant increase in demand for Mediterranean destinations. In just five years, our Greek travellers have almost doubled, says Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Marketing Director at Swedavia.
– We continue to adapt our destinations to our travelers' wishes. This year, in addition to Greece, now with Rhodes as the fifth destination from Stockholm, we are also investing heavily in Portugal, Italy, Spain and Croatia with new or more routes during the summer to, among others, Lisbon, Palma, Verona, Malaga and also Beirut via Copenhagen, says Anders Wahlström, Sales Manager at SAS Sweden.
