On Monday, the airline SAS will launch a new direct route from Stockholm to Luxembourg.
The line will open to traffic from November 4th.
”It is a destination that is in demand among our customers,” says Karl Sandlund, responsible for the initiative at SAS.
Tickets for SAS's new flight route from Stockholm to Luxembourg will go on sale on Monday, May 20. The service opens on November 4, 2019, and SAS is the only company flying directly between Stockholm and Luxembourg.
”"It's going to be great fun. Luxembourg is one of the largest business destinations from Stockholm that we don't fly to today and it's a destination that is in demand among our customers," says Karl Sandlund, who is commercial director and responsible for the initiative at SAS.
The route will be operated three days a week with one departure per day. The aircraft will be a Bombardier CRJ-900, which can carry 90 passengers.
Not entirely unexpectedly, Karl Sandlund believes that the majority of customers will be business travelers.
”"Luxembourg is a financial hub for various EU institutions. We see it as a destination for all customers, but it is in demand not least in the business community. There will probably be a lot of business traffic on this route, but we believe there is also great potential for private travelers," he says.
At the same time, SAS is also launching two other new routes during the winter, from Copenhagen to Turin in Italy and Oslo to Kiev in Ukraine. Tickets for these will also be released on May 20.
