The airline SAS flew 2.1 million passengers in April, an increase of 12 percent compared to the same month a year earlier, according to SAS's traffic report.

SAS Capacity, measured as ASK, increased by 7 percent while the revenue measure RPK (passenger kilometers) increased by 9 percent, compared to April 2023. The cabin factor, which measures capacity utilization, was 77 percent.

”"We had stable production during April and achieved our targets for punctuality and regularity, despite the impact of external factors such as the closure of Norwegian airspace on April 25. During the month, SAS also signed an alliance agreement with SkyTeam, which means that SAS will join Sky Team on September 1 this year," comments SAS CEO Anko van der Werff in the traffic report.
