The airline SAS's operations saw increased travel during the summer month of July, resulting in over one million passengers.

One million passengers is more than 70 percent more than in June. Capacity was increased during the month with increased frequency and destinations. The cabin factor was 60 percent, which is the highest figure since February 2020.

”"We see that the figures are gradually improving, which is pleasing. At the same time, we are of course cautious because there are still a large number of uncertainties ahead of us," says newly appointed CEO Anko van der Werff.

SAS shares were down 1.2 percent shortly after the airline released its traffic figures for July at 11:00 a.m. The shares have strengthened slightly since the announcement, but are still trading down around 0.6 percent.

Remaining travel restrictions are still affecting passengers' travel experience. SAS currently offers flexible tickets and rebooking options.
