SAS wants to get rid of half of the Danish cabin crew, reported the Danish news agency Ritzau, referring to Danish TV2.
In April, the airline announced that a total of 5,000 employees could be laid off as a result of the corona crisis.
In a letter to the CAU union, the company now says that it will lay off 600 of a total of 1,200 cabin crew employees in Denmark.
”"In collaboration with SAS, we will now try to reduce the number of employees who will be laid off," CAU chairwoman Christa Ceré told TV2 Lorry, writes Ritzau.
According to the airline's Danish press officer, the process began on Tuesday.
