Scandic and SAS's strategic partnership is now further strengthened, with membership levels matched between the Scandic Friends and SAS EuroBonus loyalty programs. In June, points exchange will also be introduced, meaning members can seamlessly transfer points between the two programs.
Just in time for summer, two of the Nordic countries' leading travel industry players are introducing membership level matching and points exchange. This offers loyalty members in both programs a new world of benefits to more easily tailor their travel experiences based on needs. The ambition of the strategic partnership is to continue to offer unique and exclusive benefits to more than 11 million members, in two of the hospitality industry's largest loyalty programs.

Match membership levels
When the memberships between Scandic Friends and SAS EuroBonus are linked, the membership levels in each loyalty program are matched. Depending on the level, members from Scandic Friends level 4 and above will experience everything from more bonus points on flights, access to fast track, free rebooking as late as the same day and welcome to SAS exclusive lounges. Membership levels are matched according to the following table:
Scandic Friends to SAS EuroBonus
– Level 4 (Dear Friend) = EuroBonus Silver
– Level 5 (Loyal Friend) = EuroBonus Gold
– Level 6 (True Friend) and level 7 (Best Friend) = EuroBonus Diamond
Points exchange
In June, points exchange will be introduced, which means that all levels will be able to transfer points between programs smoothly and quickly. Convert 1 EuroBonus point to 2 Scandic Friends points and vice versa, convert 2 Scandic Friends points to 1 EuroBonus point. There is no limit to how many points can be converted per transaction and no fee for exchanging points between programs. The validity period of transferred points will remain the lower of their original validity period or 1 year.
