Scandic Hotels has signed a long-term lease agreement for the operation of the largest conference hotel in Trondheim, Norway, according to a press release.

The agreement has been signed with Bane NOR Eiendom, which is developing the hotel together with Utstillingsplassen Eiendom.

The hotel, located at Nyhavna, the city's former harbor area, is expected to be completed in 2022 and will offer, among other things, 425 rooms and conference facilities on nearly 4,000 square meters.

”Trondheim is a city with great potential as a conference destination, partly due to the city's location "in the middle of the country" and with good flight connections to other parts of the country,” says Svein Arild Steen-Mevold, Managing Director of Scandic Hotels Norway.
