Scandic, together with Maxus AB, property owner of Scandic Täby, has decided to build a two-storey extension to the hotel.

The new floors will accommodate 48 new rooms, giving the hotel a total of 170 rooms. Construction is planned to start in May and the hotel is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.

– We see an exciting development in Täby, there is a lot happening around the hotel, and that means that together with Maxus we want to invest in developing the business. When it is finished, we will have a very nice hotel experience to offer our guests, says Peter Edelbrock, District Director for Greater Stockholm at Scandic Sweden.

The two new floors will have large windows and the new rooms will have a very bright and nice view. They will also be significantly larger than the existing ones, approximately 24-25 square meters. The existing ones are between 14 and 18 square meters. The architect for the project is Milimeter Arkitekter.

– I think it's great that we have decided to develop Scandic Täby. The new rooms will add a lot to the property and the hotel experience as a whole, says Magnus Wahlbäck, CEO of Maxus AB.
