Scandic Hotels is launching a new concept for flexible workspaces at 270 of the chain's hotels on Tuesday. The initiative is taking place in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Poland, the company writes in a press release.

The demand for flexible office solutions has grown stronger in recent years. In line with increased digital development, the demand for so-called coworking spaces has grown while the need for permanent offices has decreased. Scandic is now taking note of this when the company rolls out the Nordic region's largest network of flexible workspaces in the chain's hotels.

”"More and more people are looking for modern office solutions and we see an increased demand for dynamic workspaces and environments closer to home or on the go. With our 270 hotels in six countries, we can offer flexible, inspiring and cost-effective workspaces no matter where you are," says Jens Mathiesen, President and CEO of Scandic Hotels.

The company describes that the initiative is based on simplicity and accessibility for customers who want to use the service. Customers will be free to choose to work from any of the 270 hotels included in the concept. The office solutions will be available for both individual workplaces and solutions for larger companies.

”"Our guests have long worked from our lobbies, something that has been appreciated by many as it is a dynamic and creative work environment. Now we are taking the next step by offering everyone access to workplaces in our hotels, which includes more quiet environments, the ability to easily book meeting rooms by the hour and access to refreshments," says Jens Mathiesen.
