The Swedish Tourist Association (STF) has decided to close its 44 mountain huts due to the coronavirus. This is to follow the authorities' regulations to reduce its spread.

The mountain cabins lack sufficiently good conditions for long-term isolation of guests and road-based transport, STF writes in a press release.

It will take about a week to close down the cabins and get all the cabin hosts home.

– Of course, we think it’s sad to be ending the season already. We all wished for something else, but we also want a mountain tour between and at mountain huts to be safe, says Magnus Ling, Secretary General of STF in the press release.
