At least five people have been killed and 31 injured when a bus carrying tourists heading to Hong Kong airport collided with a taxi.

The collision occurred on Tsing Yi Island and images from the accident scene show that the taxi was crushed in the impact.

One man and two women were pronounced dead at the scene, while two succumbed to their injuries in hospital. According to the South China Morning Post, several of those being treated in hospital are in serious condition.
