Sigtuna Municipality has recently granted planning permission for what will be Northern Europe's largest indoor water park. The water park will be called Stockholm Vattenland and construction is expected to begin in 2026. The ambition is for this to become an attractive destination for both locals and tourists. The facility is expected to attract between 600,000 and 750,000 visitors each year.

The water park, which will be located in Rosersberg, will be 11,000 square meters in size and contain over 20 different attractions. In addition to pools and water slides, there will also be a sauna, juice bar, café, shop and offices. At a later date, it is also planned to build a hotel with approximately 200 rooms, a restaurant and a spa next to the water park.
