The departures of Silja Serenade on 12-13 November were cancelled due to the need for extensive treatment of the ship's water system. The chlorination of the system is going according to plan and is currently underway in Värtahamnen in Stockholm.

The ship was due to return to normal service from Stockholm on 14 November. However, the process of flushing the systems after the treatment and reinstalling all equipment that was disconnected due to the treatment is taking slightly longer than expected, and the ship will therefore return to full service again on 15 November from Helsinki. Silja Serenade will depart from Stockholm for Helsinki on 14 November as planned, but with only crew and a smaller number of trucks and freight carriers on board. The ship will also not stop in Mariehamn during this voyage.

Silja Serenade is thus back in full service with passengers from Helsinki on November 15 at 5:00 PM according to the normal timetable.

According to the press release.
