Simplicity and security make Swedes choose charter

Remove

When Swedes choose charter, it is primarily to make their holiday as easy and worry-free as possible. Ticket's latest survey shows that simplicity and convenience are the most common driving forces behind choosing a charter. At the same time, Greece continues to be the most popular charter destination for Swedes.

According to the latest survey by travel agency Ticket, 62 percent of those planning to travel by charter say that simplicity and convenience are a reason for choosing. This is followed by the fact that charters feel safe (31 percent) and the option to choose all-inclusive (30 percent). One in five also say that charters are an affordable option.

“Charter is primarily about making the holiday as simple as possible. Many people appreciate that flights and hotels are included in the same booking, which means you can relax even before the trip has started,” says Louise Jellvi, Product Manager at Ticket.

Greece continues to be the most booked charter destination among Swedes. The wide range of destinations and hotels, combined with good opportunities for both relaxation and experiences on site, means that the country continues to attract holidaymakers year after year.

– Greece offers a combination of sun, swimming and a wide range of holiday options that appeal to many different types of travellers. There is both the opportunity to relax by the pool or beach and to discover new places during your holiday, which makes the country an obvious charter favourite, says Louise Jellvi.

The respondents answered the question: ”Are you planning to go on a charter trip in 2026? If so, why?” The question was a multiple-choice question. The percentages under ”Why do travelers choose charters” refer to respondents who stated that they plan to travel by charter and have been recalculated based on this group.

The top list is based on Ticket's booking statistics for charter trips booked by July 12, 2026, with departure and return between June 1, 2026 and August 31, 2026. The number in parentheses indicates the destination's position on the top list during the corresponding period the previous year.
