Singapore Airlines has been named the world's best airline in the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026. This is the sixth time the airline has taken first place. The results are based on a survey in which over 24.8 million travelers rated more than 300 airlines.

The awards were presented in London on September 18. The survey was conducted between September 2025 and August 2026 among travelers from different parts of the world.

In addition to the main prize, Singapore Airlines received the awards for Best Airline in Asia, Best Economy Class and Best Economy Class Catering.

“We are grateful for our customers’ trust and support. This award is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our employees,” said Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong.

Scoot honored for sixth consecutive year

Singapore Airlines subsidiary Scoot also received an award.

The low-cost airline was named the world's best long-haul low-cost airline for the sixth year in a row.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on travelers' own assessments of airlines. According to Skytrax, more than 24.8 million travelers participated in this year's survey and over 300 airlines were assessed.

Daily line from Copenhagen

Singapore Airlines has daily service between Copenhagen and Singapore.

“It is a great honour to receive the Skytrax award. Our Nordic travellers appreciate our level of service and comfort across all three cabin classes, as well as the flexibility of our global route network,” says Jagdish Bhojwani, General Manager of Singapore Airlines in the Nordics.

Singapore Airlines has now received Skytrax's main award as the world's best airline on six occasions.
