SJ has suspended the sale of sleeper and couchette tickets on its trains. The suspension will last until March 4 and applies to all night trains across the country.
SJ states that the main reason is to catch up on maintenance of broken wagons, which were caused by wildfire accidents and icing.
– We have a great need for maintenance of our vehicles in general. But especially of the sleeping and couchette cars. Therefore, new sales of sleeping and couchette cars are stopped until March 4, says Marcus Fleetwood, press communicator at SJ.
