Tickets until September 1 are now available for purchase from SJ. At the same time, stage two of the new booking system is being rolled out.
Two weeks ago, stage one of the launch of SJ's new ticket booking system began. In the first stage, tickets for June 4-16 were released in the new system, and today tickets for the rest of the summer, up to and including September 1, are being released.
The increased interest in traveling with SJ during the summer months in recent years is expected to continue, and with a new booking system, travelers will encounter a modern system better adapted to the digitalization the entire company is undergoing.
When stage two of the launch of the booking system now takes place, the majority of all journeys will be sold in the new system, journeys in the near future will continue to be sold in the old system. Most of what travellers encounter is the same and there are no major surprises in terms of appearance. In cases where functions have been moved, there are clear instructions and SJ's customer service is available to help if any questions arise.
– I am very pleased that we are now moving forward with the second stage of the launch of the new booking system and for the positive feedback we have received so far. We are now looking forward to the opportunities that the new system provides, says Monica Lingegård, President and CEO of SJ.
Several functions in the new system have been developed in close dialogue with SJ's various customer groups. These include improved communication in the event of disruptions, travel information and improved digital tickets and receipts.
The existing system continues to be used in parallel for travel until June 3. During the two weeks that the new booking system has now been up and running, it has been closely monitored and the feedback from both employees and customers has been consistently positive.
