SJ is also stopping departures between Malmö and Copenhagen this summer. The stoppage will last for one month, between July 3 and August 4, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad. The reason is stated to be "a major vehicle shortage".

In total it concerns about just over 20,000 passengers that the regional traffic Öresundstågen will now take care of.

”"During individual departures, you may notice that there are more people. Trains have high capacity and over the bridge we have multiple or triple-coupled trains. It shouldn't be noticeable that much," says Hans Engleson, business area manager for trains at Skånetrafiken, to the newspaper.

However, according to train staff that HD has been in contact with, the trains are already full.

SJ and Öresundstrafiken collaborate on tickets for departures across the strait. SJ customers are therefore advised to take the Öresund trains with a regular ticket.
