SJ's profit falls after lower revenue – despite increased travel

SJ made an operating profit of SEK 255 million for the third quarter.

Excluding one-off items, profit fell by SEK 163 million compared to the same period last year, the state-owned train company writes in the quarterly report.

Revenue fell to SEK 2,602 million, down from SEK 2,751 million in the same period last year. However, travel still increased by three percent, but the occupancy rate on trains decreased slightly, according to SJ.
