Skanska to expand one of the world's busiest airports

Skanska has signed a supplementary contract concerning the expansion of one of the world's busiest airports in Atlanta, USA. The order value amounts to approximately SEK 460 million. 

The development is being carried out in a joint venture with New South Construction, FS360 and Synergy Construction, where Skanska Sandel thus amounts to approximately SEK 460 million. The order will be included in the order intake for the fourth quarter of 2020. 

”Work on what is one of the world's busiest passenger airports will include the construction of five additional gates at the northern end of the airport. Furthermore, the project will include rebuilding a large part of the northern terminal's departure area, building an equipment facility, and ground support for Delta Air Lines, as well as a fire station, Skanska writes in a press release. 

Work will commence in January 2021 and is expected to be completed in December 2022.
