Karin Mattsson has been elected as the new chairman of the Swedish Skiing Association.
She replaces Skistar manager Mats Årjes, who is leaving to become the new chairman of the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK).
Årjes served as chairman of the Swedish Ski Association for ten years. He has now been appointed honorary chairman.
Karin Mattsson has previously served on a number of boards and has been chairman of the Swedish Sports Federation. Today, she is a board member of Wallenstam, Mellanskog and the Swedish Hockey League, among others.
Stefan Bessman and Lennart Käll were also elected as new members. Anna Ottosson Blixth was re-elected.
